Discovering the Magic of Robotics with Micro:bit

At Making Robotics, we believe that robotics and programming are powerful tools to inspire new generations. For the past few weeks, we have been developing a special robotics training program for the older students of the After School program at Centro Hispano of East Tennessee, at the Norwood and West View locations.

This training has been a fascinating experience for both the students and our team. Participants are learning to program with Micro:bit, an ideal development board for STEM education, allowing them to practically understand the principles of electronics and programming. With each session, they explore new functions, tools, and programming logic that help them bring their robots to life.

One of the most exciting aspects of this training is that we are using recyclable materials and 3D-printed parts to build the robots. This not only fosters creativity and project-based learning but also raises awareness among students about the importance of reusing materials in technology.

Seeing the students' enthusiasm as they make their robots walk and move is a constant motivation for us. Their curiosity and eagerness to discover more about programming confirm that we are on the right path, sparking vocations and opening doors to bright futures in STEM.

This is just the beginning of an exciting journey. As we progress in the training, we will continue sharing our students' achievements and showcasing the positive impact of educational robotics in our community.
